Promising soprano Hetty Holroyd left Australia, returning in 1911 after European success as Esta D'Argo. She came on a concert tour with Ben Davies, Welsh tenor. They both sang in The Messiah with the Royal Sydney Philharmonic Society at Christmas. During one concert in the Melbourne Town Hall it was so cold she wore a fur on the platform, singing...
