Attributions / Conjectures
Portrait of Governor Hunter may be based on William Bennett's oil portrait ca.1813 (DG 394), which Old Sydney Town had permission to copy for use in a display area in their Heritage Hall. The Mitchell Library's correspondence with Old Sydney Town contains no record of the series of matchboxes having been produced.
