Centre of plates depicts the landing of Captain Cook at Botany Bay. Rim of plate displays the crests of the City of Sydney, of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia, as well as four species of native flora and a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A key to the rim designs is given on the back of the plate.
