Jessie Mary Grey Street, feminist and social activist, was born in 1889, daughter of Charles and Mabel Lillingston (nee Ogilvie). In 1914 she married Kenneth Street, son of Sir Philip and Belinda Street, and they had four children, Belinda, Philippa, Roger and Laurence.
