Lyn Brown, poet, was born at Fairfied, N.S.W., in 1918, first-born child of Salvation Army officers, John Ingoldsby Brown and his wife, Evelyn May, nee Graham. She worked in CSIRO, 1942-1951, as an editor of scientific papers and as a librarian; she married fellow worker, F. C. Brown, in 1951. Between 1951-1965 she taught French and German at N.S.W...
