"Weird and wonderful Sydney" caption: "You'd be nonplussed too, if an extraterrestrial look-alike, escorted by three armed guards, wanted to give you a box of cigarettes. Apparently, Belvedere cigarettes came in a gold box and this advertising stunt was to emphasise their exclusivity. By 1960, Australians smoked 30,000 cigarettes a minute."
