Allan [Ramsay Cunningham?] Hughan, was born ca. 1834 in England. He migrated with his mother and siblings to Australia, ca. 1851 and settled in Victoria. He had a maritime career and was Captain of the ship ‘Pilot’ and was shipwrecked in New Caledonia, in March 1870. His fourth daughter was born in Noumea, New Caledonia in 1871, where Hughan had se...
