Administrative / Biographical history
Henry Dreyer was born in Berlin in 1920. He left school at 14 and had a few unsuccessful jobs before joining a Jewish group preparing to go to Palestine. In the summer of 1939 he went with his brother to visit an aunt in Switzerland. While he was there his father, in Germany, was taken by the Gestapo so he and his brother decided to go to Shanghai....
