Administrative / Biographical history
William Johnstone was born in Glasgow on 2 June 1854. He emigrated to Australia in the late 1885's or early 1860s. On arrival he was employed by the wholesaler Robert Reid Co. Ltd of York Street, Sydney and eventually became managing director of the company.He died in Sydney on 18 March 1928.
