Geologist, architect and civil engineer at Liverpool. Reade began serious work in geology about 1867. In addition to two books, he wrote nearly 200 papers and addresses dealing with glacial and post glacial geology, the mineral structure and changes of sedimentary rocks and questions of geomorphology
