Joseph Henry Pye, a foreman baker of Burwood, Sydney, was born in Mudgee, N.S.W. He enlisted in 1914 at the age of 42 and embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board Transport A35 Berrima, 22 Dec. 1914. He served with the 5th Divisional Train, 5th Field Bakery in Egypt and France. He was promoted to honorary captain March 1917 and returned to Austr...
