George Wyndham arrived in New South Wales from England with his wife Margaret in 1827. They settled at Branxton in the Hunter valley and named the property Dalwood. At Dalwood the Wyndhams began experimental farming, including viticulture. Wyndham became a pioneer of the Australian wine industry and his enterprises were successful until the 1840s w...
