Volume contains 35 unpublished manuscript poems, in Pratt's hand, reflecting his interest in the Australian bush and landscape. There are four poems titled "Ruth", possibly for his wife. It also contains poetry written by his brother Ambrose Pratt and several poems in an unknown hand.

Administrative / Biographical history

Periam Clement Pratt, (1885-1960), known as Clement Pratt, was born in Forbes, New South Wales to Eustace and Caroline Pratt. He married Ruth Frost in 1908. His brother was Ambrose Goddard Hesketh Pratt, author, journalist and lawyer.
