Florencia (Florence) Wood de White, daughter of Guillermo (Bill) Wood who worked as a flight attendant with two South American airlines (Braniff and Aero Peru) until her marriage to the American cartographer Max White. She declared she was regarded as too independent and out-spoken ‘to ever find a Paraguayan husband’.
