Signature / Inscriptions

Inscription on the back of the photo 6a (from contents list): “Moonahcullah Mission Station 1943 ? This is a picture of the last full blood aborigenes [sic] who lived at Moonahcullah. A kindly old gentleman who wore a hat with a bird feather + always used it in greeting with the manager, my husband, Mr H. M. Kinnear. B.S. Kinnear.”

Inscription on front of photograph 6d: "Kinchelan (Boys Home). Bet. Kempsey and Sth West Rocks on NSW mid nth. Coast. (original photo) approx. 1948 (?)”....

Administrative / Biographical history

Beatrice Stella Kinnear’s husband, Harry Mackie Kinnear was appointed manager of Moonahcullah Mission Station, near Deniliquin in 1942. Prior to this they were at Brewarrina Station.
