Annotated "Orient desk calendar 1947", accompanied by a transcription of the annotations and notes compiled by Christopher Woods [ca. 2016]. The first blank page of the calendar has a pencil annotation: ‘Beryl G. E. Green’, Littleton[?] Guest House, Lithgow’. The calendar is annotated throughout with details on a range of errands and events.

The diary was purchased by the donor during the 1980s or 1990s from a second-hand shop in Hazelbrook, the Blue Mountains, NSW.

Administrative / Biographical history

Beryl Gertrude Elsie Green, the daughter of Gustav and Emily Green (nee Simons), was born at Ryde, NSW, in 1909. She married Winston John George Reid in 1951. Beryl died at Lithgow in September 1989.
