Administrative / Biographical history
Phillip Parker King (1791-1856) married Harriet Lethbridge in 1817. In 1826 he sailed in command of HMS Adventure in company with HMS Beagle to survey the southern coast of South America, while Harriet managed ‘Dunheved’, their farm at St. Mary’s. In 1822, Philip Parker King described the property “Dunheved” as having 850 horned cattle, forty hors...
