Mary Paget-Cook, nee Wilkinson, (1925-2008) grew up in Strathfield where she attended Santa Sabina Dominican Convent. She was involved in arts and culture, including being active in literary circles, in Sydney in the 1940s. In 1951 she obtained a job with the US Navy in Naples, where she lived for eight years.
