Possibly taken from the first floor balcony of Hetzer's own studio which was located at 287 George St (opposite Hunter Street) from 1859. The view...

William Hetzer arrived in Sydney from Germany in 1850 and opened a photographic studio the same year at 51 Hunter Street, advertising calotype (salt prints), portraits and views.
