Notes on verso of f.6 in Piguenit's hand describe the camp set up by passengers and their crossing of the island after the shipwreck.
A diary acquired at the same time covering the years 1871 to 1876, containing some outline sketches executed on his exploratory journeys : ML MSS 2896
