Scope and Contents

The Library took these photographs when the house was in danger of demolition. Research led to its being heritage listed. The purchasers wanted to preserve and restore the house, and to remove later additions at the rear of the property to enhance ‘Woodlands’ heritage significance and thereby increase its value in a high conservation area and heritage conscious real estate market.
With funding support through the NSW Heritage Grants, the owner sought expert advice from a heritage architect Alan Croker, Design 5 Architects Pty Ltd in the preparation of a conservation management plan before proceeding with a development application.
