Lionel Robert Brough (1857-1906), actor-manager, and his actress wife Florence Brough (1858-1932), were contracted by J.C. Williamson. The Broughs' Australian debut was at the Theatre Royal, Melbourne, on 9 May 1885 in Iolanthe. During the Brough's years in Australia, the boast that the colonies could show productions 'equal to anything in London'...
