Frank Debenham (1883-1965) was born in Bowral, New South Wales, and studied geology under Sir Edgeworth David at the University of Sydney. In 1910, Captain Robert Falcon Scott selected Debenham and fellow Australian T. Griffith Taylor as additional geologists on the British Antarctic Expedition of 1910-1913, which sailed to Antarctica in the ‘Terra...
