Administrative / Biographical history
Reverend John Stoward Moyes, 1884-1972, served as a minister in Port Pirie, South Australia and in Britain before becoming Anglican Bishop of Armidale in 1929. He remained Bishop until his retirement in 1964. He was Deputy Chancellor of the University of New England, 1960-1967, and was appointed C.M.G. in 1972.
