This collection was originally owned by Henderson & Macfarlane, a New Zealand shipping company that owned most of the vessels. The five works were then transferred to Burns, Philp & Co. Ltd, Sydney in 1938 when they acquired the assets of Henderson & Macfarlane. These watercolours hung in the Burns Philp headquarters in Sydney until 1998 when the c...
