Edmund Thomas Blacket, 1817-1883, arrived in Sydney in 1842. After working for seven years as valuator for the Bourke ward, Sydney, and inspector of teaching and building in Anglican schools, he established a modest practice and was appointed Diocesan Architect. In 1849 he became Colonial Architect and held that position until 1854 when he resigne...
