Thomas Arthur Benstead (1896-1971) was a renowned motor cyclist, setting Australian and world records. Lieutenant Harold Robert Hodgson (late of the Australian Flying Corps) made several attempts to break the Melbourne- Sydney motor cycle record and other competitions, 1921-1925
