Richard Slaney (c. 1764-) was sentenced to fourteen years transportation at the Stafford Assizes in 1784. He was later sent to the Thames hulk 'Censor', age given as 20, before being transported to N.S.W. on board the 'Neptune'. Five weeks after arriving in the colony Slaney was among 194 convicts sent to Norfolk Island, arriving on 7 August 1790...
