Charles Darwin, the discoverer of natural selection, was born at Shrewsbury in England. He studied medicine at Edinburgh University and then completed a B.A. zoology and geology at Cambridge. Between 1831 and 1836 he was naturalist on board H.M.S. Beagle during a scientific survey of South American waters. He also visited Australia and New Zealand....
