Extracts of letters from Elizabeth Macarthur to her mother, to her goddaughter Eliza Kingdon, and to her son Edward, 8 Oct 1789-18 Dec 1840, possibly copied by Mrs James Macarthur (Emily Macarthur) from Sir Edward Macarthur's copy at A 2908 / vol. 1. Includes a copy of a letter from John Macarthur to W. S. Davidson, 3 Sept 1818.

Notes by Monica Flower (Mitchell Library), 1950, and by Sibella Macarthur-Onslow, 1929, at the beginning of the volume.

The last letter from Mrs Macarthur to her goddaughter, Eliza Kingdon, in this volume is dated March 1827, and is followed by remarks by her son, Edward Macarthur, and a copy of a letter from Mrs Macarthur to him dated 18 Dec 1840.
