Macarthur family papers, 1789-1936 [First Collection]

Macarthur family papers relating to public questions - memorials, memoranda etc., 1824-1866. Papers relative to administration, crown lands, emigration, etcetera (original manuscripts, including addresses and memorials with some printed matter).

1. Memorial to Earl Bathurst from landed proprietors, inhabitants and merchants of NSW, 29 January 1824, on the new Constitution, with list of 30  signatures already obtained
2. Memorial to Earl Bathurst from landed proprietors, merchants, and other free inhabitants of NSW, undated, expressing disapproval of an address to Sir Thomas Brisbane dated 21 October 1825, with suggestions for an independent press, increased immigration, a liberal education, an Executive Council with enlargement of the Legislative Council, and trial by jury, with 33 original signatures
